a member of the Inter Agency for
Emergency Education (INEE), Paris, an organization of UN and NGOs working for
the development of education , protection of girls, propagating human rights
and rights of women and girls. Their protocol includes advocacy on multiculturalism, human rights and providing
assistance for disadvantaged groups. INEE is focused in developing minimum
standards for education in emergencies (MSEE). This looks at several issues of
a cross cutting nature which includes rights, gendre, disability and
vulnerability. I was a member of the Task Force which developed Teacher
Training Resource Kit for all countries ( 2005)

a member of the Adolescent and
Youth Task Team (AYTT), an arm of the INEE
·
Granting of funds to implementing
partners (INGOs and NGOs in Pakistan and Afghanistan ) was one of my
responsibilities while with UNESCO/
UNHCR and later with CIDA in Pakistan.

Fund raising was a main task while
serving as Technical Advisor for GTZ which involved me with donors like UNHCR,
UNESCO, UNICEF, The World Bank, CIDA , other side of coin. The activities
involved in writing proposals, meeting personnel of the above organizations,
preparing reports to donors and supervision of the implementation of the
projects by the GTZ staff. In addition attending GTZ meetings in Frankfurt and
other places were some of the other responsibilities.
I was also involved in similar activities in Bhutan, Nepal, Viet Nam and earlier in Sri Lanka

In-service teacher training offered by NGOs, INGOs and private sector

Establish a
capacity-development mechanism for MoE to work closely with GIZas well as
implementing agencies to be coupled with a gradual phase out of NGOs

Coordinate and lead assessment of teachers’
and school administrators’ training needs

Develop budget, financial plans and oversee
all financial transactions

Conduct research projects on
Afghan refugee teachers in collaboration with Afghan and other NGOs
·
Evaluate foreign funded
international education projects for the Ministry of Education, Afghanistan
I had coordinated similar
projects like the ‘UNESCO Joint Innovative Project on Raising the Quality of
Primary Education in Sri Lanka’, as part of an 8 international education
project in Asia.
As part of the activities I had developed training
manuals for principals, teachers and trainers both in Sri Lanka Pakistan and
Afghanistan to bring higher quality into the system.

of materials for Afghan Refugee schools were conducted in Pakistan, also
collaborated with the University of Peshawar on a study on the development of new curricular for primary schools in
Pakistan, travelled widely in all the Provinces to conduct TOTs for both Afghan
refugee and Pakistani educational personnel
